Awesome Purchases vol. 2

I've bought a lot of things in my life. Some things ended up sucking, others were OK but I probably would not have bought them again. Then, every once in a while, I bought something that was almost life changing. Something that I would buy over and over again if I had the chance.

In the interest in finding other great things and helping out people who might benefit from similar purchases, I've decided to examine my day to day and pick out things that I really like.

 Volume 2:  Blender Bottle

I got my first Blue Blender Bottle in Australia. My friend Jack and I went to a GNC to check out the protein available and saw these bottles. We decided they looked pretty cool, so we each got one for ~$20AUD. That was in Sept. 2007. I love Blender Bottles -- they're absolutely fantastic. The flip top locks very securely so you never have to worry about leaks or spills. When I'm at the gym I'll drop my bottle to the floor or throw it into a corner and it has never opened.

Blender Bottle works off the idea of the whisk, a kitchen tool known for its great dispersing abilities. When using it as a water bottle, I take the whisking ball out, but when I use it to make a protein shake the BlenderBall is a necessity. Put the ball in the bottle, add water or milk, and then put your powder over the top. Close and shake for about 15 seconds and your powder is completely dispersed! No more lumps and no more screens to clean. The Blender Bottle is entirely dishwasher safe.

Although I've never used it in this manner, the Blender Bottle is the perfect kitchen tool for scrambling eggs, or mixing up (and pouring) pancake batter. I've also read reviews of people using them to make their own salad dressings (it was also featured in Reader's Digest).

I brought my bottle everywhere. Then, when I was just recently down in Miami for homecoming, I accidentally left it there! I was really angry, especially when I didn't have water on the plane ride home. When I got back, I ordered 3 more -- A black one, a blue one (replacement =[ ) and an orange one. I keep one at work, one by my computer at home, and one for general use. They also make mini's, but I don't really have any use for those. At $6 a piece and free ship, there's no reason not to try these out.
